SUZANNE YOUNAN
Suzanne is the founder of Green Dragons HK. She is a busy mum, an animal & nature lover and a passionate advocate for plastic reduction in HK. She has been paddling in HK waters since 2016 Â with the AWA Globe Paddlers out of Stanley. In 2017, after the devastating effects of Typhoon Hato, she founded Green Dragons HK to bring the dragon boat community together and take action.
CHIARA RODRIQUEZ
Chiara is an Italian interior design project manager and mom of three. Out of curiosity two years ago she started paddling with the AWA Globe Paddlers dragon boat team and stuck to it as she loved the challenge and the team’s spirit.
EMILIE COYAULT
Emilie is a stay-at-home mom of 2 boys who lived in India, Japan and Korea before settling in Hong Kong. She loves hiking, swimming, paddling and reading. She started dragon boating in 2016 with the SoFrench dragon boat team and embraced the team spirit both on the boat and on the beach!
FRANK CHAU
Frank is an import/export trading professional who, when not at work, is active in various sports: Thai boxing, hiking, running, weight training and of course paddling! Frank started dragon boating in 2016 and is now the Social Secretary at Buzz Dragon HK. The team trains at Aberdeen on weeknights and Deep Water Bay on Sundays.
OLIVIA CHOI
Olivia is a HK University professor, a mom of a 12 yrs old daughter and a nature lover. She has been paddling in HK waters since 2015 with AWA Globe Paddlers. Together with the Rotary Club of Central, she brings her family and friends along in her actions toward environment protection.
AMANDINE DE GORGUETTE
Amandine is a Business Transformation Consultant and busy mom of 3, constantly trying to reduce the environmental impact of her family's way of life. She started dragon boating in 2017 with So French dragonboat team. She fell in love with the team spirit and the connection to nature it allows. The team trains twice a week out of Stanley beach.
JONATHAN LINSTOW
Jonathan is a busy insurance professional and outdoor sport lover, passionate about not only his clients but that we live in a cleaner and less polluted city. He has been paddling in HK since 2004, initially with HSBC and then with Buzz Dragons team, out of Aberdeen and Deep Water Bay. Jonathan has eliminated single use plastic in his daily life and advocates continuously around him for everyone to make small changes in this direction whether in Hong Kong or on holiday.
AUGUSTA NICHOLS-EVEN
In 2015 Augusta moved to Hong Kong with her husband, leaving a meaningful career with Green City Growers urban farming company in Boston. Looking to engage with and give back to her new HK community, Augusta joined the American Women’s Association of Hong Kong and has served on the Board as VP of Fundraising, and currently as Chair of Education & Scholarship. She also started dragon boating with the AWA Globe Paddlers less than 2 weeks after arriving in Hong Kong and became a co-captain of the team this year.
LAPPY, THE LAP SAP DRAGON
Lappy joins us from a factory somewhere in China to assist the team with our Paddle without Plastic campaign.
An enthusiastic advocate of ‘ditch disposable’, Lappy will do all in his power to spread the message of ‘Paddle without Plastic’ to the dragon boat community and further.
Somewhat unpredictable and fiesty, Lappy will challenge and educate wherever necessary.
